Second download is the DVD Studio Pro 1.5.1 Updater for Mac OS 9. This will take DVD Studio Pro to the last update that will work on Mac OS 9. I issue a challenge to all folks on here...1.5.2 for Mac OS X exists but I cannot find it. Apple actually has a link to it, but for a long time, it didn't resolve anywhere...now it resolves to a file that won't expand by any tool I have tried.

ASD is very similar to Apple Hardware Test (AHT) but with a more complex and more technical user interface intended not for the public, ASD was meant "for Apple Service Providers only". ASD version numbers roughly coincide with those of AHT, on similar timelines. Individual versions of ASD work with varied hardware platforms but typically supportive of only a few models being made at the time each ASD was created.
at least 640x480 display resolution; keyboard or mouse.
Each version of ASD generally only runs on a few hardware models being made at the time ASD was created, see the above description.
There are two separate modes to ASD, a Firmware mode (ASD OF) almost identical to that of Apple Hardware Test (AHT), and, an OS X mode (ASD OS) which rides on a stripped down period version of OS X included paired on each ASD image.

Those files ending in ".plist"... This decodes them (XML) and lets you edit them. It comes with the Xcode/Developer Tools, but is so handy to have in a pinch that why bother installing the entire multimegabyte devtools when all you want is this:
dL 1 is PLE v2.2 taken from Xcode v2.4.1 (for OS X 10.4.10) a Universal Binary that works in Tiger, maybe more cats.

A program in ->firmware<- for 'burning' a unique serial number onto circuit logicboards that up to now have 'blank' unspecified serials, usually because its board has been replaced with a newly minted replacement part. This software doesn't allow changing any existing serial to a new one. This program wasn't for public consumption, but for service personnel only. At Apple, its creation was codenamed project Monaco.

This font suitcase contains what I believe to be the entire Espy font family (Espy Sans and Espy Sans Bold size 9, 10, 12, 14, & 16, and Espy Serif and Espy Serif Bold sizes 10, 12, 14, & 16). Espy Sans was originally used as the Newton system font and for eWorld, and later was the iPod mini system font; Espy Sans and Serif were also used in the Apple Guide extension from System 7.5 to OS 9.

TV Setup is a control panel specifically for Macintosh TV systems. Problems switching to TV mode were reported after installing System 7.5. Version 1.0.2 of the TV Setup control panel corrects the problem.
The enclosed file is a self-extracting archive. To use, download, double-click the downloaded file (this decompresses it). Place TV Setup in your Control Panels folder and restart.
