In 1990, Apple got tired of maintaining and releasing different versions of MacTest for every Mac model they shipped (MacTest SE, MacTest II, etc.) MacTest MP was written by the Apple Service CPU Diagnostic Team to provide dealers and other authorized service providers with diagnostic tests for the Mac IIfx, IIsi and LC computers as well as Apple video cards on any NuBus Mac. (Although not documented, MacTest MP performs limited tests on the Mac II and IIx systems, which were discontinued by the time MacTest MP was released.)
Compatibility:
Mac IIfx, IIsi or LC. 2 MB of RAM. Tested under 7.5.5. on vMac II and performed limited tests successfully.
